And yes, you may have spotted that the books are being changed over to Marvin Knight.

While being Marvin Whiteknight was funny for a while, I kept getting the same questions and same raised eyebrows. So I figure I'd just trim it down a little.

(If you haven't guessed by now... 'Whiteknight' wasn't even my real last name to begin with! I've tricked you all! But most importantly, I've tricked my mother, who googles my name regularly. Knight is not my last name either, but it is close enough I know how to write it in cursive if I ever need to sign books. Whiteknight was a little much in cursive. My 'W' are always all messed up.)

Anyway!

The audiobook for Spellheart 7 is done, and Spellheart 8 will be my next release! I've finished writing it as of now and am cleaning up my second draft, so I'm actually fairly close. It's just a matter of beta reader changes and cleaning up typos. I will do an announcement of that later.

So, current order of books to be published:

• Spellheart 8 (Doing the final stages of edits on this. Coming soon!)
• Amazon Apocalypse 1 (About halfway through this, but I might keep it as a Patreon exclusive story until I've started the sequel)
• Paladin 3 (Have an outline and one chapter written. It's on the backburner until Spellheart 8 is out the door. To be published later this year!)

I really wish I had firm dates for you guys on these things, but all of my estimations are always way, way off. So the most I can promise is that those three books will be written before the end of the year.

They hopefully won't be the only books I publish this year, but a lot depends on how long the manuscripts are and whether or not we face nuclear Armageddon.

Paladin of the Shield now live!

 

Hey everybody!

Sorry for the long time going idle. I've (finally) got another real release for you guys! It's been a long time coming. This book went super long, and to be honest I desperately wanted to split it into two books, but the story just wasn't possible to split.

So instead I'm publishing it all as one chunky book (Roughly 238k words). I had to actually shrink the page count by shrinking the margins lest the spine size increase the price point and cost you paperback collectors a bunch more money.

Anyhow, it is done now! Please, if you haven't given this series a try, give it a go!

This book was quite a journey, and I think I improved a lot as a writer for putting it to paper. I tried a bunch of new techniques that I never would have dared to use in the Spellheart series, and I'm glad I wrote it.

In other news, I'm now working on Spellheart 8! I was slowly tinkering away with it in the background while writing this book, so most of the novel is drafted. I do tend to have lengthy editing processes though, so I'm not giving any firm release dates yet.

I have been putting this off for a while, but I think my schedule for the year has firmed up enough that I can post my tentative publication plans and the release dates I'm hoping to hit. Stay tuned for that.

I was going over my beta reader feedback for Paladin of the Shield and I thought I did boat stuff fairly well since I googled the difference between port and starboard.

But no, my beta readers keep hitting me with stuff like gunwales and bowspirits.

Apparently, I dramatically underestimated your naval knowledge.

December Update and Book plates!

You haven't heard from me in a while. I've been working hard on Paladin of the Shield, the sequel to Paladin of the Sword.

This book was kicking my ass for a while, but I'm finally looking at the finish line. It's already the longest book I've ever written, and probably the longest I ever plan to write in haremlit for a long time at 210k words in my working draft.

I'm targeting February still, but that depends on how edits go. This is a very big book and I'm working as fast as I can without compromising quality.

I'm working on the ending now, which is taking a bit longer than I'd like as I work to make sure all the pieces I've laid out fit back together again. But I'm hopeful I'll finish soon.

This post is coming close to the winter holidays, and I wanted to do something special again. I don't really have time to write a holiday bonus chapter like I did last year, but I have something else in mind.

November Update

Hi guys,

It's past time for me to post something new here. I don't really have much to say at this point. There's a lot in development, but I don't think I'm going to be able to drop any of it this month.

Work on Spellheart is still paused, though I do have a considerable portion of book 8 drafted, if not edited.

On that front, Champion of Deania will be released on audio on 12/28 in time for the winter holidays.

I'm still working on Paladin of the Shield (Sequel to Paladin of the Sword). I'm still drafting this one. Like it's predecessor this is also going to be a double-sized book, so it's going to take some extra time. I'm 130k words deep so far and think the ending will be somewhere in the ballpark of 180k, though that may change if I make any substantial cuts before release.

I have however confirmed that Jessica Threet will be doing the audio for Paladin of the Sword. It's on her production list, but she does have a bit of a backlog. Expect that sometime in February of next year.

Amazon Apocalypse is still patreon exclusive for now, for those of you who have been following that. Once I know where either Spellheart or Paladin is going to end for sure I'll polish this one up and push it out the door for the rest of you non-patreon people to enjoy.

I'm also working as part of a team on a visual novel project, which I should hopefully have more information about before the end of the year. For now though, that's all!
