Spellheart 6: Champion of Deania is now live!

Get it here (US): https://amzn.to/3pHe4Qy
Global Link: https://mybook.to/Spellheart6

It's finally live! I had to struggle with some serious formatting issues. Even now, it's only showing the book as 341 pages long. Which is weird because it should be a few pages longer than Chief of the Blackgorge (so at least 500).

But based on my cursory scans everything is present, so it must just be some weird page compression thing happening in Amazon's magic box. The text is displaying (mostly) the way I want it, though I might take another crack at reformatting later.

Please give it a read! And if you like the story then please leave a review!

    1. Glad you liked it! Next one is coming out in another few months. I don't have a firm date yet, but I'm going to get it through this year.

  2. Please sir, may I have some more?

Great read, only thing even remotely marring it are some typos here and there. Keep it up, my man.

  3. I am in the middle of rereading the series, thus I have some questions in general.

    1. It is hard keeping track of the geography, where things are in relation to other areas. Do you have any intention of creating a map over the planet? Or the Continent where Theo resides.

    2. It is said that cultivators (at least spirit cultivators) recieve a longer lifespan as they rise in power. But we never get a real number. I think that one of the books states that you double your life as you rise to Mage acolyte and True Mage. But I think it is also stated that the life gets longer for each rank too. A synopsis at the end of the book of general effects and power per rank and tier and general information would be awesome.

    3. Yorik talks about Orcs coming to the elves world to gain Spirit cultivation and some elves seek the body cultivation. But this concept seems to disappear in the later books to instead get thralls etc. We have never seen an elf with body cultivation or an orc with spirit cultivation (except Yorik) I would think it would be something Theo would invest in inside his clan and Tribe or at least his inner circle.

    4. I am a sucker for statistics and progress and I have a hard time remember all the characters so a List of all the close associates of Theo, their rank as last seen and significance to Theo. Like ex: Comela, Level 17 Mage acolyte. Daoughter of Theo, Commander.

    5. Cat, Dwarf and Goblin cultivation! I guess we will focus on at least Korras world soon and the Countess bs "goddess". The Tamer elves, I would think the use of mystic beasts in an army would be stupid op. I miss them.

    1. So I'll try and answer these as best I can.

1.) There are a couple of maps floating around this blog and my patreon, but I'm keeping the full world map close to my chest. That's mostly because I've had to discreetly move continents, mountain ranges, and oceans around a couple of times to make the plot work. Also, the maps are self-made by me in Wonderdraft just as reference, so I would want them cleaned up before using them commercially. There probably won't be a map in the book just because it adds a lot to the file size, and Amazon does charge me a delivery fee, meaning it would be a couple extra cents each download out of my pocket for a decent sized map at a good resolution. I might change my mind for the paperbacks though.

2.) I only every very briefly touched on this, but it is indeed roughly double each level. (normal elf = 75 years, mage acolyte = 150, true mage = 300, wizard = 600, sorcerer = 1200, demigod = 2400, immortal ascendant = functionally immortal).

3.) Yeah, this hasn't been something I've focused on. It's mostly confined to the background right now. I've just got too much to cover right now for that kind of content to be anything more than an offhand mention. I thought we'd have a little more room to let the story sprawl at this point, but we're already a bit behind where I wanted to be by book 6, so I'll leave that for a spin-off or sequel series.

4.) I have a few lists somewhere. I can't crosspost it here because it has already been rewritten for early book 8, and I'm not sure if I have one dated for the end of book 6. I am also hesitant to add content to the end of the book because some people consider that bloating page counts, but I might post that stuff to this blog in the future.

5.) The Claw Tamer tribe has been a bit behind from the start since the Crimson Dragon Clan wiped out all their mage acolytes at the start of the series. But they might get a boost in a few books once Theo cracks open the sealed pocket space of the Devilbeast Wilds.

  4. Loved the book, thank you. Kindle formats the story to end at page 338 of 341 in the book.

    1. Yeah, something is messed up and I can't quite figure out how to fix it. Something happens between me shoving my book into Amazon's black box and when Amazon sticks it out on the other end.

    1. Probably early September. I've finished writing it, but it still needs beta readers, final proofreads, cover art, ect. It will definitely be out this year.

    2. Is it possible to become a beta reader?
