Hi everyone! Book 7 is finally live!
E-book cover.
And here's the paperback wrap around!
Barring one minor incident where every instance of orc was swapped with 'dark elf' the book has uploaded successfully.
(I know people will ask about this: Basically, I was talking with a reader who really doesn't like the orcs and really likes dark elves. I swapped the word orc with dark elf just for them in a temporary custom ebook version.
Then I forgot to remove the automatic compile swap when fixing a few typos someone sent me in the official copy, hence the swap joined in with the typo corrections. Normally, scrivener drops those when you swap formats, but they must have updated something that changed that behavior when I upgraded. Since I was just fixing typos I didn't scan the whole novel over as much as I do when uploading the book and the errors slipped through. Sorry!
It will be fixed as soon as Amazon approves the change in an hour or two. Just redownload the book and all the dark elves will be gone. The error version was only up for a few hours while I waited on Amazon to approve the reupload.)
So this is Spellheart Book7, the end of the second arc. Hopefully you guys enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Hey, love the book but it needs an edit update. about halfway through somehow it had a find and replace done on the word orc replacing it with dark elf, even the letters o r c in the middle of words, causing sorcerer to become sdark elferer for example.
ReplyDeleteYeah I talk about this in the blog post. I fixed the issue almost immediately, but roughly 200 copies got out before Amazon approved my new upload of the manuscript. It's fixed now if you re-download the book. I'm trying to get Amazon to push out an update to all the bad versions, but they want more documentation to prove I have a qualified reason so I'm assembling that as rapidly as I can.
DeleteHilarious error. Bit surprised i didnt get since i got it as soon as i saw it out of pre order.
ReplyDeleteThe version I uploaded first was correct. I fixed a typo someone reported and that's when the error happened.
DeleteDidn't see the error either and I bought within the hour it was released. Loving the book, and already finished a second read through.
ReplyDeleteThe first version of the book was correct. The error didn't happen until I fixed a typo.
