Hi everyone! I've got a new novel for you guys! It isn't part of the Spellheart series. It's book one in a new series. Despite not being about Theo and the Hearthwood Clan, I think you guys will really love it. It's a gamelit harem novel just like the Spellheart series.

It's set in the lands of the Sacred Coast and follows a new protagonist.

Darren was just a boy when paladins burned his home to the ground. He didn't know why. His mother worked with Paladins, and his father was a paladin. He fled with his mother into the last place these enemy paladins would look for him: deep into Hell itself.

Spire of Blood: Spellheart Book 7 is now live!

Hi everyone! Book 7 is finally live!

Barring one minor incident where every instance of orc was swapped with 'dark elf' the book has uploaded successfully.

 

(I know people will ask about this: Basically, I was talking with a reader who really doesn't like the orcs and really likes dark elves. I swapped the word orc with dark elf just for them in a temporary custom ebook version.

 

Then I forgot to remove the automatic compile swap when fixing a few typos someone sent me in the official copy, hence the swap joined in with the typo corrections. Normally, scrivener drops those when you swap formats, but they must have updated something that changed that behavior when I upgraded. Since I was just fixing typos I didn't scan the whole novel over as much as I do when uploading the book and the errors slipped through. Sorry!

 

It will be fixed as soon as Amazon approves the change in an hour or two. Just redownload the book and all the dark elves will be gone. The error version was only up for a few hours while I waited on Amazon to approve the reupload.)

 

 So this is Spellheart Book7, the end of the second arc. Hopefully you guys enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Spellheart 7 Status update and Austin Beck's Giveaway!

The book is done. It's going through the last couple of beta readers now. I'm going to do some final edits, a last quick proofread, and then it will be in your hands sometime next month.

I'm actually hoping to experiment with preorders for this one, so expect that to pop up for the book sometime soon. You'll have an exact release date when that goes live.

Audiobooks are in progress. I'm told #6 will be out sometime in November. #5 comes out next month at some point.

To be honest, I completely forgot this was coming out to day, so special thanks to the reader who posted that it had been released on the last blog post.

The audio for book 4 is out. #5 and #6 are already in Tantor's hands, so those should hopefully come out soon as well.

Now, for my ebook folks.

Q: When is book 7 coming out?

A: September... probably.

That's my best guess! Book 7 is in editing now, but you all know I like to be shoulder-deep in the sequel before I release a book. It does look like book 6's release benefited tremendously from a 3 month release rate over my previous 5 month release rate. I'm going to see if I can make that happen a few more times, though I may end up moving down to 100k word books to make those quicker releases happen while maintaining quality. Time will tell.

It's finally live! I had to struggle with some serious formatting issues. Even now, it's only showing the book as 341 pages long. Which is weird because it should be a few pages longer than Chief of the Blackgorge (so at least 500).

But based on my cursory scans everything is present, so it must just be some weird page compression thing happening in Amazon's magic box. The text is displaying (mostly) the way I want it, though I might take another crack at reformatting later.
